SPECIAL EVENTS AND ATTRACTIONS

On the fourth of July, Old Fort Jackson will host many Revolutionary War themed activities for our "A Family Fourth" event. We will also share a range of family-friendly activities throughout the entire weekend, July 3rd through July 5th.

Old Fort Jackson's 4th of July programming will focus on Savannah's Revolutionary War history, featuring cannon firing programs, musket firing demonstrations, and readings of historic documents. Come and celebrate America's birthday at Georgia's oldest brick fort!

All "A Family Fourth" activities are included in the price of Old Fort Jackson museum admission and are free for Coastal Heritage Society members.

OLD FORT JACKSON
Enjoy exciting interactive programs about life as a soldier for adults, kids and families. Guests can also learn various drills and forms of military communication used and watch a cannon demonstration using some of the oldest artillery in the Southeast. Daily cannon firing programs begin at 11 am and 2 pm

PIN POINT HERITAGE MUSEUM
Visit the former A.S. Varn & Son Oyster and Crab Factory, which has been transformed into an educational center for visitors to authentically learn about the Gullah/Geechee culture directly from residents who grew up in the small, close-knit community! Guests can discover these unique lifeways, from daily life to religion, language and food.
