FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGNS

The Coastal Heritage Society currently has two on-going campaigns that we are seeking donations for, Battlefield Park's Society of 1779 Campaign, and the Children's Museum Campaign. Towards the end of every year we launch our End of the Year Campaign.

Payments on a pledge and donations can be made online, just fill out our secure Donation Form. You will be able to make donations in memory of, or in tribute to an individual.

If you would prefer to send us a check, please make checks payable to Coastal Heritage Society, and write the name of the campaign on the memo line. Checks can be sent to

THE SOCIETY OF 1779
The Society of 1779 is composed of individuals who have contributed $1,779 or more to Battlefield Park which is a memorial to the Revolutionary War Battle of Savannah of 1779. These funds will be used for an endowment to maintain the memorial grounds and to provide educational programs relating to the Revolutionary War era.

Society of 1779 members have the privilege of placing the record of a Revolutionary War personage on a 2' x 2' Georgia blue granite stone upon the Savannah battlefield. The person to be honored can be from any nation touched by the Revolutionary conflict and from any walk of life. Society members meet annually on the morning of October 9th at dawn and commemorate the Battle of Savannah. At that time members dedicate the stones commissioned in the preceding year. Commemoration activities are followed by breakfast for Society members.

If you wish to contribute toward the campaign for Battlefield Park gifts may be made over a three year pledge period. Payment options are monthly at $49.42, semi-annually at $296.50, or yearly at $593.00.

For more information on how you can contribute to this Revolutionary War memorial, please contact Samantha Pogorelsky, Director of Development, at 912.651.2438 or spogorelsky@chsgeorgia.org.

CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
There are a variety of ways to get involved with the Children's Museum Campaign. Before making a donation to this project, please contact Samantha Pogorelsky, Director of Development for the latest information at 912.651.2438 or spogorelsky@chsgeorgia.org.

END OF YEAR CAMPAIGN
At the end of each year, we ask friends of the Society to give during our End of Year Campaign.

Donations generously given by members and past donors have allowed us to acquire artifacts and property such as the Railroad Ward houses, and the No.30 engine. Funds raised also have gone towards educational programs for children and adults. Donations are used for areas with greater need.
