EDUCATOR'S GUIDE
The Coastal Heritage Society, through its historic sites-Old Fort Jackson, Savannah History Museum,
Battlefield Park, and the Roundhouse Railroad Museum-seeks to offer quality educational opportunities
for all ages. We want to assist you in your work in the classroom. Our Interpretive and Educational
Departments stand ready to be resources for you as you seek to extend the educational opportunities
for your students.
We offer programs for students, Preschool - High School, that are designed to be age appropriate and grade
specific. Each program has been designed to provide an engaging, interactive, and fun educational experience.
In our educational programming materials (available to download below), we have included the Georgia Performance
Standards and Georgia Early Learning and Pre-K Standards that are met by our programs.
If you have special needs, please speak with one of us. With sufficient notice, we are able to tailor our programs
to meet the specific needs of your class.
Savannah is a wonderful city with much to offer. We hope you will bring your students to experience history in a way
that brings the past to life.
