NOW OPEN!

Step back in time to the early days of our nation’s founding! Our new exhibition, Loyalists & Liberty: Savannah in the American Revolution, features 17 restored cannons and other remarkable artifacts recovered from the Savannah River just off the shores of Old Fort Jackson in 2021-22.

Battlefield Memorial Park

Across the street from Savannah History Museum and in front of Georgia State Railroad Museum, this memorial park honors the more than 800 people who were killed or injured on October 9, 1779, in what was one of the bloodiest battles of the American Revolution. Loyalists & Liberty Battlefield Tours, which begin inside Savannah History Museum, conclude with a musket firing demonstration on the battlefield.
